Theres a 89 Rx-7 that i see that is NA for sale.
I was wondering if I should get this or a turbo 2. I was thinking and said that, I would want to drop a bigger turbo in the turbo 2 later on if i was to get it, couldnt i just get the 89 NA and get a turbo kit for it later on when I get the rest of the money up. I mean, I would still have to change manifolds and stuff in the turbo 2 to compensate for the bigger turbo wouldnt I? Is there any bigger turbo for the turbo 2 that would just drop in and run without doing anything major? |
There are no turbo kits for NA 2nd gens. If you want boost...buy a TurboII. There are simple upgrades such as the GReddy kits and HKS kits, but they can be pricey. We have GT35/40 kits...but they may be a little too large for what you'd look for, but it just depends on what you want to do.

yeah get the Turbo2, it will cost you less in the long run, from what I hear it is a pain to turbo out a 6 port NA engine, plus the tranny on NA's can really only hold out on engines with a max HP of 200-220 HP.

mazdaenthused stop post whoring like a dumb bitch..... jay jay....

haahah post whoring....
i think t2 is better in long run also. you get the lsd rear diff, stronger tranny, a ecu that sees boost from the factory, and an engine build from factory that can take boost. if you compare the price, you probably can't build your NA to a T2 spec with the difference, so i guess its a better deal to get T2. |
TII will be better if you plan on selling later, too!

NA = never will die
T2 = good reasale value, very fast even in stock form and they like to blow up lol |
