I found a lsd rear end from a s5 but I am not sure if it is from a turbo or not. The person has two of them in his back yard, but he doesn't know if they are from turbo's either. Are there any markings or features I can look at to tell if it is a turbo rear end?

Depends on the year I think, but in 89 I thought the non turbo LSD diff was a GTUs and I'd GLADLY take that 4.3 off his hands! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png, most the rest were 4.10, I have specific year and model referances and not s5 s4 comparisons here. Those notes are at home, but if they are both Limited slip chances are they are turbo.. that's my guess, I don't recall the markings on the outside. Someone else here will probably know.

"Well maybe you can talk me into that old non turbo diff... doesn't fit much, I'll take it off your hands for..???" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

nothing easy, turbos got a larger driveshaft flange, and its physically larger. but it does look the same so its really hard to tell
