last night, i started my car for the first time in a bout 2 weeks and let it warm up and everything. it idled for about 10 mins and i started movin it to my shop. i drove it around for a lil bit, gave it a lil hell, couple high revs to see if it was makin boost. i guess my gauge is broken- another thread later i guess. anyways, back to the point. i let the car sit to cool down for about 5-10 minutes at idle. when i got out to just ponder over the motor while it was cooling down, i noticed that something wasnt very cool. the manifold or the turbo one was glowing bright red. it was dark and my shop lights are being reworked so i couldnt really see what it was. what would you guys think it was and what can i do to fix it? it really didnt do anyhting that should have turned it bright red. i was very sceptical and quite frightened. never seen anything but my racing go karts brakes do that. i also have one hell of an exhaust leak that could be put into the equation of the problem. let me know some **** to check and i'll be right on it. thanks everyone!

Thats normal. Rotary = very hot.

My stock always lit up after a little bit of hell. My new setup glows at idle now, but thats probally because my car idles at 2500. But after a hard run, expect it to glow.

Since your first question is answered..I'll move to the next...

...to my knowledge there aren't any manifolds that bolt to your stock turbo. If you wanted to upgrade the manifold, get a series5(non twin-scroll) manifold and turbo and bolt that up..the setup spools a little quicker and is less to worry about later..

..if your looking for even better power, get the same series5 manifold, then get a 60-1 cold side upgrade to your stock turbo...its a good setup for 13/15lbs of boost..
