Is the Turbo II Transmission different than the N/A Model?

I mean, the bellhousing? Splines? Shaft Diameter?

What about the driveline?

I'm trying to see what a Turbo Swap will cost me, and what I need to swap.

Do the Japan 13B Turbo motors come with the top mounted Intercooler?

Thanks

Yes, different starter and driveshaft.

i read that to do a turbo swap you need a turbo drive shaft and a turbo trans. The jspec turbos do have a top mount. check out the how to section at fc3s.org

The TII transmission also uses a different clutch and flywheel. The bellhousing is a little different, but the bolt pattern is the same. The slave cylinder is also different.

The Jspec stuff is basically the same as the American stuff. The only differences in the motors is emmissions garbage. Any 2nd gen 13B motor will bolt into any 2nd gen. 13B REW's and Cosmo 13B's can be installed in a 2nd gen, but it's not a simple bolt-in affair. K2RD sells mounts that will allow you to bolt a Cosmo 13B right in. To do a 3rd gen motor you'll need to build a "cradle" at the back of the engine subframe. The same can be done with a Cosmo 13B or 20B.

WHEW, lots of questions. Do you mean that w/o custom mounts 13bre isnt bolt in? Is building rear cradle just another way to put in 13bre?

What would be the easiest way to put a 13bre into a second gen w/o having to custom fabricate anything?

TIA
