Often the little things get overlooked.

Did the mechanic bother changing or checking the pilot bearing?

IS the master or slave cylinder in good condition? Pedal feel sloppy?

Is the folk good?

Did u try checking the cluth pedal free play?

IS the clutch hose in good condition and not expanding or leaking when clutch pedal is depressed?

Last thing, check to see if the front pulley moves alot when you press the clutch in? Should only move what the specs says.

I let my friend drive my car the other day (he has rebuilt two trannies from a mustang 5.0 and a 89 saleen) and he said it felt fine, except for the loose feel rattling noise when I push in the clutch, and that that was probably the throwout bearing. I'm just getting used to a stick, that's all.

However, I must say my mustang friend was impressed by the turbo power and the small, quick agile ride. He really liked 1st when that turbo kicked in.
