I had a messed up shifter before so i purchased the mazdatrix short shifter. Its still needs time to break in, but when i shift i notice it doesnt go into the gear smoothly. It feels like the slot is not a perfect opening like ya gotta jiggle it a lil to get it in.

Is this normal.

I also have many other lil probs with my car.

The thermostat housing neck is damaged on mines, so im using one from a s5 i think but it doesnt have the cap with the nipple like my s4 gxl needs. But im driving this way and the cars not overheating it always been overcooling. I changed the thermostat put a new mazda thermo and the water temp is the same as always.

My question is this is okay for the meantime till i can get a new s4 thermo housing.

Also my coolant light comes on once in a while for a few seconds (10 secs at most). But my cars not overheating and i checked the sensor ontop of the rad and its working right. Can it just be i need a lil more collant inside the block? Like when the car moves and the coolant moves the sensor doesnt have contact so it think it needs some?

Also i just got a RB catback system brand new never used $490 off my boy who sold his fc. Can i use other hangers besidse the mazda ones like ones from autozone. AUtozone = $3.00 Mazda is like $15.00

my shifter was also a little stiff and hard to get into gear at first. I guess you do have to break it in. Mine shifts fine now, no problems.
