well i think im going to buy an iginition pretty soon from my friend because he works at the place(i get it 1/2 off) but........

which are the best ones

people tell me i need more spark so will this help me out???

well let me know

and is it a hard install???

Suds 03-29-2003 12:31 PM

You don't need a stronger spark.

Seppuku 03-29-2003 12:33 PM

Unless your pushing out a lot of power your stock ignition is more than enough for you.

ok is it worth it to put in an ignition that i only got fro 50 bucks????

i think its the new one called jackson racing??

well store price on it is 200$

so what about that???

Seppuku 03-29-2003 04:45 PM

I beleive it would only give you a couple horsepower to add it right now so not a big increase. If you want to buy it go ahead but you really wont notice anything from it.

like he said above. if your car is stock.. you can't tell anything. I have the jacobs pro pack... just because of the work i am 'going' to do to my car. But stock no difference. When you do get mods your all set to go for spark once you get it though...

CrazyAssRX7 03-29-2003 05:42 PM

well you tell me if i have enough mods

i have a lot done well i think ( for being a NA)

an correct me but i have the jacobs also i think..... the red one....

well anywayz

i have a ported j-spec engine, bigger injectors, exhaust, intake, an a whole bunch of other little stuff

with this stuff should it make a difference compared to a stock 7?

Suds 03-29-2003 08:28 PM

There are no non turbo jspec engines, it looks like you have a non turbo.

HeffSpooled 03-30-2003 07:03 AM

Hotter/stronger spark is never a bad thing.

RXciting 03-30-2003 01:00 PM

if anything it might help you with emissions if your not already burning all the gas IMO

what's the whole bunch of other little stuff??

1Revvin7 03-30-2003 01:10 PM

Well if you can get it cheap, why not, right? Get the HKS twin power, or 3 msd 6A(s).

Apex13B 03-30-2003 07:05 PM

you can weld with a msd in a pinch....seen it with my very own eyes. Hotter/stronger spark is never a bad thing...they'll pay for themselves in about 2 years with the better milage you get

my_jdm_rx7 03-31-2003 12:07 AM

Hey, I gotta question..Can I use an HKS twin power for a TII, on my NA? Same hook ups...any ideas?

Nemesis 03-31-2003 01:51 AM

Do you really need QTY (3) MSD's?

needa86NAat 03-31-2003 04:03 AM

do we really need to answer that one https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

my_jdm_rx7 03-31-2003 10:44 AM

Yes you do, one leading box, and 2 for trailing.

And back to my qustion?Anyone? Can I run a HKS twinpowerr for a TII on my NA?

chase78 03-31-2003 12:10 PM

go on ebay get a crane HI-6 $100- 140 you want the digital square wave. you only really need it on the lead coils since they do most of fuel combustion. Cheaper way even is a the MAllory box. MSD (anolog)well they're good but the crane and the mallory are cheaper and better. some say jacobs and they are great but if you not doing any engine porting you are fine with a single box on the leads. lots of people like them becuase of the lower emission they put out, better fuel milage , and better starts.

CrazyAssRX7 03-31-2003 01:22 PM

u think using my jacobs ignition for leading will work a lil?

atleast give me better gas mileage or anything else?

well actually now i might not even put it in so if anybody is looking for an ignition

im going to sell it becasue i need a new tranny a lot more than i need that one

so anyone interested in a jocobs ignition package/???
