If you're referring to compressor damage, as long as you've got a fine mist and its just a small pinch it works fine.
The big benefit however is how it changes your compressor map, basically a smaller compressor acts like a bigger one without the added " lag "
The car is getting post compressor methanol injection, along with some other goodies. It will however will retain pre compressor water injection..

Where have you gotten this information? I'm not necessarily disputing it however I can't fathom why increasing the weight of your intake charge can enhance spool time.

The best place possible, personal experience.
It doesn't enhance spool time, infact it will slow it down a little bit. If down correctly, it won't be noticeable however.
What I meant to say is, a smaller compressor will act just like a large one, without the " lag " of a larger compressor wheel.
Garrett compressor maps are generated on a intake temperature of 70deg F. If you lower the temperature you will change the map in your favor, and vice versus with hotter intake temp charges.

Gotcha, you're saying that the decrease in temperature is effectively giving you a larger efficiency 'island'. I don't know if I'd advertise the gains how you worded it but I get where you're going.
