yeah, i like his idea, but cant rationalize the notion of even the slightest possibility of a hydrolocked engine simply due to an ill-placed air filter.
once i get a chance, i'm going to relocated the coolant reservoir and drill a 3" hole next to the radiator. it should work, and i should get a lot more cool, fresh air in front of the radiator as opposed to the fender well. CAI -- shaw style -- will be operational eventually |
Scott89T2 already did something like that, he has a how-to on his website. Check it out here.

yeah, i like that, but i dont really want do rotate the radiator and make new mounts for it. i think i'm just going to punch a hole and hack my way through that metal. it's real thin, so it shouldn't be too bad. then i think i'll just move the coolant reservoir to where the stock air box used to be.
i'm pumped; this is gunna be cool. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif |
by the way, that whole front end setup is real clean, a little too much aluminum on the shrouds for me, but still it looks great and a real original location for the IC. i like it. not to busy, and it gets the job done.

good idea on the placement Aggie, post pics then and let us know how it turns out.
