I need to fill a S4 TII 5spd and am just wondering what it calls for 90wt?? or what?
thanks! |
Redline 75W90 Gear Oil. It's more expensive that some generic stuff, but how often will you change it to make much of a dent in your pocket? Go for the good stuff. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

I fill mine with eight year old Scotch. Like JR says, go for the good stuff! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I used Royal Purple synthetic and am not very happy with it. I'd say go for Redline without a doubt.

i like redline right now i have amsoil 75w90 synthetic in the tranny though
|
i have redline in mine, its the best shifting tranny i have
mike |
changing tranny fluid is not fun... next tranny that goes in will have redline fluid. the speed shop was out of MT90
|
The RP made the tranny grind worse than before once it heats up.

Gear oil is the most nasy smelling **** ever! I put 80w/90 in my trans in my '86 gxl. Still get ruff shits into 2nd and third intermintly (sp), not sure if im just in need of a tranny rebuild/new trans b/c of synchro wear, but when I changed the fluid there was no gold flakes in it at all, which is a huge sign of synchro wear (since there brass). I want to try some Redline MT-90 synthetic, maybe even that shock stuff that I hear people bragging about made by them. Its just so damn spendy though, and if it stays the same.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/angry.png
