I am doing the TID mod on my s4 turbo II. I am having a really had time finding the couplers so that i can mate the turbo and the AFM to the actual pipe. Can anyone help and give me the exact sizes, i keep hearing different things. I am pretty sure i want 2.5 to 2.5 and a 2.5 to a 2.0. Also where can i get them because home depot doesn't carry them.

everyone around here buys a hoduh intake for like $35 and cuts the pipe

I bought mine from XS Engineering
Just measure the diameter of the AFM & the diameter of the compressor opening type thing (i'm sure it has a great technical name that i can't think of) Reducers are Expensive. I think my 3" - 2.5" was like 22 bucks |
or u can buy a pipe from home depot. let me find that link

the main problem is the coupler size for the AFM. i just need to know where i can get a coupler/reducer for that. WIll the honduh intake work for the s4 afm too>?
|
i believe so

They should have some rubber couplers at Home depot, Lowes, back with the Pvc piping.

yeah i went there today and they definately do not have any couplers that fit on the S4 afm. The turbo uses a 2" coupler but everything else is up in the air. the s4 afm seems to be about a 2.5" coupler but that is the best i can do so far. I think the plumbing couplers run a tad of the big side so tommorow I'm gonan go look around some plumbing supply places because home depot only carries 2.0 and 3.0 sizes. hopefully i can find something if not i am going to borrow my friends stock TID untill i can order the hand intake and then figure somethign out to mount the s4 afm to that pipe

I made mine from Home Depot. I used the coupler for 3" PVC pipe (I think), it was a little big big on the AFM, but it works fine. I guess the couplers go off the ID size of the PVC pipe, and the pipe has a .25" wall thickness. So the coupler I ended up using had a ID of 3.5" I also used a reducer from there for the inlet of the compressor. If I had a digital camera I'd go out in the garage and pull it off and get you a pic of it. All the stuff I ended up using was right there with all of the PVC tubes and elbows.

that's how my TID looks.. minus the fact I don't have the MAF anymore nor any hoses that connect to it. i have the BNR stage 3 turbo so i'm not sur eof what exactly reducer is needed on a stock turbo.. I know my TID to MAF was a 3" ID |
Got some pics of my Home Depot TID...

I had the homedepot style couplers (black jobbies) on originally but swapped out to the silicon ones after a while just because i wasn't sure if they were sealing completely..
