On the TID i think i might try and fab up a new one over christmas break. What kind of materials should i use/need and does anyone have any general ideas or tips on how to fab one up?

Second I have a racing beat MBC with a boost gauge that goes inside the car but i have no clue how to install it. It's got a black and a white line. Where do these go?

Common rule for wiring a gauge

Red 12v+

Black ground

other lighting

usually you can go through a wire off the parking lights to light the gauge.

Well the gauge doesnt light up.

Let me explain it a bit better. It's a small instrument cluster type thing that goes to the left of the steering column under the dash. There is a boost gauge and a knob right next to it. Then there is a black plastic line that is hollow going into the boost knob part, a small connector that goes from the knob part to the gauge part and then a whtie line just like the black one leaving the gauge.

white to turbo compresser. black to wastegate. remove the stock vac lines that go from compressror to wastegate

AreExSeven 12-09-2003 01:43 PM

I guess I can help you answer some of these questions.

The gauge is entirely manual, no electronics whatsoever.

Like scott said, goes to the compressor and wastegate. There is a line on there right now bypassing it. Just remove that one and run it to there. There are holes int he firewall already for it up near the steering column.
