I just did the throttle body mod and some porting and polishing on my extra throttle body. I am wondering if I will see any major effects in starting my car when it is cold out. I live in Indiana and it is snowing right now. Should I keep my stock one for winter driving and just use the nice one for summer? Thanks

Here are some pictures that I took of my throttle body. The edges are nice and pointy and the walls are very smooth. There are no ridges anymore that can mess up air flow.

Did u take off the thermowax?

I guess I should have just said this in the original post, but if you leave the thermowax ur cold weather performance should be affected that much

It didnt affect mine, mine started in 35-40*F weather no prob.

I took all the stuff off the TB and it starts okay. Takes a couple tries to keep it running, but I'm sure I could fix it up with a little more enrichment in the Haltech start-up map. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Not nearly as bad as advertised. Don't hammer on it until it's up to temp.

it will start the same, but theres no fast idle so it will stall until its warmed up a bit

Yep, that's exactly what mine does. Fine otherwise.

Yah, thats what my yellow car does. Ive got most of it tuned out now, but I usually wait about 30 seconds to a minute idling before I take off.

is the thermowax the peice that was connected to the choak? The pump and hose? If so that will be removed. I haven't put it in yet due to a failing fuel filter needing replacement first.
