Hey all, I am swapping a turbo rotary out of an '87 RX-7 into my MGB and I need to purchase a remote oil filter setup. I'm wondering what the thread pitch and size are of the stock filter so I can purchase the right kit. Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I stumbled upon that this afternoon. Are there any advantages to using this style as opposed to a kit from www.summitracing.com that retails for 41$ and includes all the lines and brackets?? Is there something special about rotory's that doesn't allow these to be used?? Thanks again. Here's an example: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...part=TRD%2D1150

its either the same thing, or the racing beat one is made out of better stuff (steel instead of aluminum)

The racing beat bypass block simply bypasses the oil filter altogether in the stock location and enables you to add a filter in the oil cooler circuit, but it does not provide any hardware for the new location, it just blocks off the old location. For $41 I went ahead and ordered the one from Summit, if it doesn't work I can always return it. BTW, I found the size of the thread at some other site online(don't remember what it was), it had the size thread of every application on the market. Thanks anyways

yeah, i have no idea what the thread size is.

RX-7 oil filter thread size is 20mm. Don't know the pitch, but I don't think you have a choice. Basically oil filter's threads come in SAE (3/4") and Metric (20mm). But don't assume if you have a Japanese car you are Metric, or if American car it is SAE...Toyota's run the 3/4" threads, as do Kawasaki industrial motors, etc.
