I don't remember having problem finding a thermostat gasket but when I need a special gasket I use a sheet of gasket and trace down the outline with a pen and cut it, and you get a gasket.

I dont like silicone where its not neccessary. I never use any on any gaskets, unless I need it to hold while I assemble it. Goes back to my hate of rubber and what not, lol.

Do what Powerpack was saying. Go to Pep Boys and buy some gasket paper. That stuff works just fine, and you can make a whole bunch of gaskets for only $5.

One of my body shop owning friends owes me a ton of favors, so I just let him get me parts from Mazda when I need them, like this thermostat ****. I also got me a nice set of new window strips this winter, now I got to put them on!

I need that window trim too. Mine is looking very nasty. I may paint them just to see how they'll turn out.

I painted mine last time, but they were too far gone to look good. IM going to paint these new ones even though they are nice and black, so maybe they will stay that way

Maybe I'll try it. They certainly couldn't look worse, and the weather is great for painting.
