Hey guys, I did the TB mod the other day and installed it this afternoon. When I started my car it acted like it had a stuck seal and my boost guage stayed at zero the entire time. Even when I revved and could tell I made some boost the guage never moved. I know how to fix the stuck seal, but what I was wondering was why is my boost guage not moving. By doing the TB mod do you affect any of the vacuum nipples on the UIM? My guage is connected to the front lowest nipple on the UIM. As for the seal, the car has been sitting for about a month without being started so I think one just got stuck from being compressed for so long.

No compression = no vac

the the tb spacer on the right way?

no comp= less vac but should still see some sort of responce, hell when my motor went i had vac and boost but is the plate on correctly? if so try and move the boost gauge line to a port on the manifold and check there. a buddy had a motor that showed no vac before or boost but the motor was in good shape , i still dunno if he ever figured that one out.

I may have put the spacer on the wrong way. I don't think I have blown the motor because even when I blew the last motor it showed vecuum eventhough it was erratic. I'll check the spacer.

That did it. I guess that's what I get for not paying attention when I move things around. Thanks for the help.

We should do the meeting thing sometime this spring or summer. Just to warn you though my TII doesn't look the greatest right now becuase of hail damage that I have had the money to repair.
