Was just thinking. Is it possible to take the wheel, bearings, housing off a FD TWIN the bigger turbo and graphing it onto a S5 TII turbo?
just a wild thought. |
anything is possible, but you have to ask yourself why. Hybrid turbos, really aren't all that great no matter what they are. I'd say you are better going with a T4 than an upgraded compressor.
|
i'm not using the twin setup. just the one big turbo on the FD twin.
The reason i ask this is because i have access to a cheap FD twin like real cheap. |
have you seen those turbos? they are really small. prob wouldnt be worth the hassle. it would be like a t-28.
|
yah the fd uses 2 small turbos, the fc has the biggest mazda turbo

mike Thanks. [/quote] have you ever held a 3rd gen turbo by itself? they are very small and it might be difficult to fab that intake and exhaust. |
Yeah...Arent those two turbos cast into the same manifold also?...
|
Trust me too, they are small. I started to laugh when i saw each turbo.
