Ok so my car still works woohoo.
Got my toyo t1s' (245/45R16) coming down, hopefully grabbing my fuel rails and fittings this spring and i just gotta get off my ass and find a haltech for sale and i will be set, I just finished the shopping list by picking up my 3 MSD 6A's. So once i get off my ass and LOOK for a haltech and buy it everything should be perfect....other then it's burning coolant and i snapped two bolts on the waterpump so its leaking a bit. hell i even bought a brand new thermostat housing, no more ghetto duct taped one! kevin. |
oh and i installed new solid motor mounts cause the old ones were shot.
And basically ive been making it run a lot better without adding any power adders lately. As far as general maintenance goes i need a new bushing set and a diff. seal then im done for maintenance. kevin. |
How do the motor mounts feel? I was considering getting some but I'm thinking the solid mounts are to harsh for my flavor. I don't want everything in the car to vibrate and rattle. Cramps my style...

rmaiers: They feel fine actually. Nothing compared to a piston motor on solid mounts. I can actually drive at the right rpms in the right gears and have almost 0 vibration.
But then again i like the pure fel of knowing just what the motors doing via subtle vibes it sends through the chassis. Rob: nope ive been legality free lately, i found a "hobby" colin: not burning coolant, loosing it. At first thru the neck piece which i replaced but ******* around with the waterpump i fucked up two bolts, just slapped it on without those two to get me around and so the coolant is leaking from right there. I just gotta pulled the snapped bolts out and swap 'em. no biggie. kevin. |
