Car is much smoother in the lower/mid rpms, and it seems like the boost comes on much smoother instead of a jerk and go. Car doesn't get any hotter than it did before, and alternator is keeping up fine with radio and lights on at night.

Alternator is underdrivin 22% total

waterpump 16%

p/s more than 16%

a/c more than 16%

pretty neat setup, if you don't want to get rid of any option's (p/s, a/c) but want it to rob as little power as possible, then this is the setup for you.

on a n/a with p/s they dyno'd before and after and it saved the n/a 11 hp and 8lbs. check their site to see the charts www.mazdaracing.com

I'm very impressed, they shipped same day and were very professional. Good experience.

I also replaced my oil thermo pellet and front main bearing if you have any Q's about that.

Well once you go E-fan an alt underive pulley is going to hurt you. I just sold mine, as I would rather have less space in my engine bay with an Efan than rather have 5 more hp with the underdrive alt... Since now i have a turbo i can just crank it up to get power..

True True, I ended up doing the same thing. Alternator will be fine till you start using everything like a/c or full blast heat, rear defroster, stereo and lights.

I would recommend to upgrade to a dynamite battery like an optima.

I'm using the small odyssey pc680, stock S4 alt, underdrive pulley, and black magic efan...

I just run the idle kinda high (~1000rpm) not a big deal for me.

do you happen to have any pictures of your electric fan installation?

theres alot of BS going around about the stock fan being superior to electric fans, the truth is mazda engineers were better at designing the cooling system than the hacks that slap on a finger slicer with no shroud and then go around saying electric fans suck.

Don't forget the FD and the FE both run electric fans.

Well said, try running the stock fan w/o the shroud....
