I am thinking of removing some under the hood stuff that i really dont need (eventually i'm going carburated) I have removed so far :Power steering assembly, Air conditioning pump and lines

Air pump, and associated stuff (except ACV because i dont have headers yet)

The engine bay is Clean, I'm just taking off all the little extra's. As far as the Sub zero system goes. what else do i have to do to make a clean removal. Cap any lines? Vent anything? Some info would be great, thanks guys. Markus

pull out tank with line, remove the injector thingy from the LIM and have the holes welded or leave it on and cap it.

so i could leave it. I could take it out.

Basically taking it out would just clean the underhood area up a bit.

Damn, i'm not going to have much left when i get my Carbuator on this thing

.. My goal is to have an engine bay that has Minimal Wires. Basically none. Once Carbuated i can Rip the computer system and all those stupid ugly wires out of there.

Damn, maybe i should just buy a 1st gen.... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png

1st gen's are a total different car. You drive a first gen. Solid rear axle, comes around sweet in tight curves, manhole covers and rain. The sound of side draft carbs and racing beat exhaust as you take through the gears at high rpm. Definate feed back through the steering wheel. Tight cockpit, just you and the car. What a blast. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

yeah, i've driven an 83' 12A Rx-7. Ported, Headers, and DUAL Webber carbs.

That little car would WHOOOP Up on mine.. it was something exciting. i want that much power in my 13B

I get feedback because i dont have power steering in my car, and i retained my P/S/ Rack. makes it real nice a stiff to drive. I feel every bump.

Here's a small sad story The 83' was my stepdads car, he is the one that got me into Rotary's... At the time we had that car, we didnt know it was ported, with performance mods, and the works...

So, than i buy my car, a bone stock 86 with a dieing engine... Than, the 83 ran into problems, the rear subframe was badly rusted when he bought the car (for 300$) So we gave the car away to the local Rotary shop.... acctually i traded the car for 2 door handles and a gtu wing for my 86..

1 week later My good friend NOW Scott. called me.. and said, why did you give me this car, the engine is perfect... But the frame is badly rusted. I said, well it's too late now. Keep it man.

The motor ran so good, he ended up useing it for local Scca racing in his FB. Only if i woulda known.

Now i know the sound of a Bridge ported engine. And i wont let one slip out of my hands again.

If i would of known, i would have dopped that engine into my car. It would have been quick enough.
