Just under the head lamp there is a clear lense that I have yet to find a use for. By the way I have only had the car 1 day but still, what are or do they do?
|
It's what is called a Flash-To-Pass lens, or, FTP. When the lights are down, you can pull your hi-beam lever and 'flash' at other drivers. Useful for warning people about speed cameras, radars and cops without putting your lights up.

Got it, now see that would be difficult for me to see from in the car!! Thanks for that, I now can put that issue to bed.
|
LOL. Geez, I'd hate to see what happens when you have trans or engine problems. Can you say heart attack? LOL
Congrats though, you have entered into an addiction. |
The bad thing is engine and trans are no issue for me, I have been working in the auto industry for 11+ years, just never ventured into the rx7 relm, or been around any ever. But I can say that I love this ride and can't wait to give it that personal touch!!! MODS

the only stupid question is that which is not asked, so ask away! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

Common thing on all FC's. N/A that is. Modding N/A's is fun, start with your basic stuff. But there is not a whole lot out there for them. I would recommend suspension as your first thing though. That's where N/A's are great. |
Kinda noticed there is not a whole lot out there but hey, and the questions will roll in, believe me.

Kinda noticed there is not a whole lot out there but hey, and the questions will roll in, believe me. There's only the typical things. Header, catback, intake, ignition, ECU, and then porting. You can go from a mild streetport to the all out mack daddy Periphreal-port. N/A's do very well for suspension items though, adjustable struts, lowering springs or coilovers are well backed up for N/A's. And adjustable struts are a dream to have, believe me. I noticed a huge difference with only the front's done on my old 88 from 3 years ago. Damnit! This makes me want another N/A! I love N/A's, but they are sloooooow! |
Ok so tell me this, where is the best place to shop for parts. From what I have seen you either get stupid high prices or junk, maybe you could offer a suggestion. And dang on the slow man!!!

What baldy said. Too bad phins does'nt run the store anymore, he had good prices. He saved me 30 bucks a few years ago on some KYB AGX struts.

Cool, need to get some parts comin in, also need to find a hood, mine is just too flat, like a girl I once knew, sexy as could be but as flat as a board, almost perfect.
|
Get yourself an aluminium hood, unless the vert's had them? I totally forget! Look at 89 Rag's vert, his is the epitomy of GEORGOUS!!!! One of the best, well done cars on the forum.
