Sorry if this has been explaned before but i cant find it anywhere. Is this the fill bolt on the tranny on a 1987 n/a Rx7? It faces the driver side. Thanks and dont pick on me too hard. ha ha.

soak that thing prior to removal... save yourself the grief.. then replace it new..

Thanks for the tip!!! lol Ill start soaking it tomorrow. I probably wont change it until Friday or Saturday.

In case it isn't obvious, be sure to remove that fill plug BEFORE you remove the drain plug, in case you can't get the fill plug off for whatever reason.

in ca we can use a 14mm open end wrench.
when you put it back on, a dab of silicon, and leave it snug, doesnt need to be torqued down |
Totally unrelated but, Amp has the best video id!
And yes, I have run into the problem of doing a clutch, draining the fluid, bench pressing the tranny back in... than not being able to get the fill plug open! Sucks! |
I have sprayed it 3 times today with wd40 and let it just soak there. Is wd4 good enough to soak it with? I didn't try to remove it yet. I'm waiting until fri or sat.

I like using Gunk penetrating oil for stuff like that.
