Feeling lazy: I finally got a replacement skid plate, but don't have any bolts. Anybody know what the right size is?

That uses those small bolts with the 10 mm head. It's a pretty common bolt used in the car. I don't know what the thread is, but you can just remove one and bring it to Pep Boys to find the right one.

You're welcome Chuck. As you start working on the car more often you'll start to realize how common those bolts are. If you can't find any and you're in my area I could always give you some. I have a few hundred of them.

Thats why I keep a "magic bolt box" Every time I pull something off my car and dont need the bolts or screws anymore I throw it in the Magic box and then anytime I need something I consult the magic box- usually always has what I need- A word of advice though, keep a Metric AND an American standard box seperately other wise you'll end up cursing and throwing bolts all over the garage when the don't quite fit right. believe me I know all too well

I have very few American bolts. One of these days I'm going to organize the box.
