If i get the agx struts and kyb shocks package from k2rd, can i get rid of my lowering springs on my s5 turbo or will i still need to mate the lowering springs to thte agx struts and kyb shocks?and is the agx struts and kyb shocks good for about 375rwhp on a s5 turbo?

i just havent grasped onto the concept of shocks.struts,springs..

Thanks..

Springs are separate, unless you are buying new springs, you will have to use your existing springs.

I think you are very confused. Let me make thigs a little clearer for you.

Struts are the technical word for the dampners that are on the front of the car.

Shocks are the technical word for the dampners that go on the rear of the car.

Many people use these two words interchangebly...so it gets confusing. For the sake of this topic - I will just use the work "dampners".

Every car needs two things - 1) dampners and 2) springs

The KYB AGX's are a brand of dampners which allow you some adjustability from soft to hard.

But you will still need to install a set of springs with the KYB AGX's.

Kewl,so i'll mate the agx struts, kyb shocks to my lowering springs, is this setup good for about 375-400 rwhp?and is there anything else i need for this setup such as a camber kit or nething? i dont want to spend too much on coilovers such as hks or jic's.....im into a little bit into quarter mile times and a bit of auto crossing..

thanks again

Depends on the springs in question. Do you know what brand they are? What the spring rates are on them? You'll most likely be ok.

Also, like I said before the KYB AGX's are a brand. When you say "agx struts, kyb shocks" that is wrong. Its like seperating Mazda & Rx-7. They go together. Mazda = KYB, Rx-7 = AGX. You follow?

You only need a camber adjusting bar if the springs you use are lowering springs.

I think there a company called apex, got them with the car...and ya they are lowering springs..so that answers my other question that i need a camber kit..

yo dynamite i suggest you get the racing beat suspension package. Comes with racing beat springs with a spring rates of (f/r) 140/132 respectible. and its comes with the front and rear sways bars. Package is for like $430.00 save around $50 bucks if you buy it from Racing Beat, then either get tociko shocks/struts the Sport ones part number starts with HB or the 5 ways adjustable. The HB one retial for $350 for all four and the 5 way adjustable retail for $569.00. It depends on you and how much your willing to spend. The kyb are good but i would rather get koni or tociko.

Nopi got the Hb for $313 and options auto got the tociko springs for $202.

its all up to you i hope this helps

racing beat springs will lower your car like 1 inch so they claim, but nevertheless it will lower it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

In terms of engine power output and the suspension, how do you mean a good setup for 375-400whp?

You mean, getting the car so 400whp wont give you huge amounts of oversteer (oversteer = back end wants to pass the front end)?

In terms of that, suspension tuning will help but, with so much power you'll probably need to widen your tires and maybe even wheels too depending on how wide of a tire you need.
