I was looking at getting strut tower bars for my '86 Base Rx7 and i had a few questions. First are they even worth bothering with and if they are are the carbon fiber ones worth there cost or do they work just as good as the others and you would do just as good by getting the aluminium ones. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

They do help. The aluminum will do just fine.

You will notice a big dif in front end rigidness...i like mine a lot...its a GREX aluminum...

I also wondered the same thing, what about the firewall/engine mount strut tower bar from mazdatrix? worth the $$$?

I used that one in my car, and it made the car more stable in the front. It's worth the money, but don't bother with the one with the engine torque brace.

Unless you like your car vibrating, dont bother with the engine one, 13Bace knows that first hand, lol

Wasn't one of our members selling them off the board for a pretty good price??

Not sure, but I would only want one that goes from the struts to the firewall, not one of those universal fit ones that are strut only.

The design just isn't very good.

Both versions are good.
