This is a mystery motor (to me). I wasn't told the mileage unless Kevin knows it. It's an S4 N/A 6 port block, with strong front compression and 0 on all faces on the rear rotor.

I don't have any pictures yet. As soon as I get the damn flywheel off I'll get the rear iron off and look at it.

I got it stripped right down to shortblock. Joe and Kevin gave it to me with the P/S and A/C still bolted on, all accessories (except alternator), everything. Manifolds and the like..

The coolant passages were clean! As clean as my motor, check my gallery for reference. I was thinking I was going to see alot of rust buildup or something since it was apparently sitting in a barn for a while. Nope. Clean as a whistle. Canadian water maybe? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Sitting with open manifolds too, no rags to block moisture or anything. Plug holes open. Turned over like a champ though. There was no rust buildup or surfaces starting to turn orange at all that I could see after I got everything off. Looked good!

Anyways, shined a light into the rear rotor. No apex seal on the first apex. Nothing. No remnants to be found even. Not cracked, or chunked apart, but gone entirely. Spin it a bit - a few dents from trying to compress a seal. Rather long marks as compared to other stuff I have seen. Next apex - No seal again. No remnants to be found either. More compressing seal marks on the face of the rotor. Last apex, no seal again. No remnants to be seen either.

I bet there is remnants where I can't see from the port. But that's alot of missing apex seal. But from looking through the port there is NO leftover seal to be found on any apex. Which is kinda wierd!

I'm curious about mileage of this motor and what happened when it lost compression.

KNOW ANYTHING KEVIN?! Ask Joe or buy him a computer or something..

Welp, anyone wanna buy the manifolds off this motor? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

My screwdriver fitting in the apex seal slot. Nothing is there at all!

Every apex was like this.

Front rotor. The seal was still nice and springy! Notice the cleaner burn marks around the port, not as black as the blown rear rotor.
