A week ago I as totally looking forward to getting a street port done my housings during the rebuild but I was having a little discusion with my dad and he said that it may be easier and cheaper to just raise the boost. Then I thought that since this changes the timing, wouldn't this change the boost response of the turbo? So now I'm not sure what to do. I'm all about minimal turbo lag b/c I want to do a little autocrossing this summer. What advantage would streetporting have over just raising the boost and what advantage would it have overall in terms of reliability and power? Maybe your guys' opinions and experiences can help me make my decision.
