It seem that when I first start it up that it will run jest fine. If I drive it around for about 10 to 15 min and stop, some place will let the turbo timer run as to allow the e fan to cool the engine down. When I come back, the temp gauge will read close to about 200 and some times closer to 220. The car will not want to start or wont start at all once it has been started it feel like it has hesitation though 1000rpm to 3000rpm.if I jest let it sit at idle it sounds like it struggling to stay alive. By the way, this is on a 88 T2.

most likely leaky injectores are fouling your plugs... as for the temp... it is called heat soak, since the coolant is no longer flowing thru the cooling system the heat in the combustion chamber and exhaust are soak thru the rest of the motor. Remember the exhaust can reach temps 600 degrees and up

yea id pull my injectors and have them all cleaned and balanced.

you can go ghetto and put in a fuel pump switch so you can crank it with the pump off to clear out the flood first, but thats a temp solution.

i recently put a new motor in my car, and went to crank it and was about to strangle something. the damn thing wouldnt start! i was running over reasons in my head for a few minutes and realized the pump was coming on. wtf, a few swears and some more thinking and i couldnt think of why it wasnt coming on. halfway to the door to go inside and give up, it hit me. i put in a fuel cut switch! goddamn im an idiot.

JABrx7 08-08-2007 02:53 AM

well it already had as fuel cut switch on it but i think it could be the injectors. are there any place that you guys would rec amend to send them to?

teknics 08-08-2007 07:46 AM

ok thanks for all of your guy's help. one other question would it be a good idea to get a better radiator? im building the car for about 350 and some people have told me that i should start looking into a koyo or a fluidline.

yep. stock radiator is ok for short bursts, when its new, but more hp and longer runs, it cant keep up

Bastard 08-09-2007 05:14 PM

RC engineering in SoCal.... Fuel Injection Corp in NorCal both clean injectors

**edit**

When looking into radiators, your best bet is something that is 2 or 3 rows and crossflow radiators tend to be more efficient then top to bottom flow radiators
