Is the stock FC ignition system wasted spark?
Second they have a built in ignitor right? So all you need to do to get them to fire is to input a "high" voltage signal into them and they will fire, so technically I could run FC coils on any other car that uses a "1" or "high" voltage input to activate them? Third, I know how much they can support on an FC, but couldnt they support more on a piston engine? thanks,. |
the leadings are wasted spark. the trailings are not.
they both have the ignitor(s) built into the coil packs, its in the aluminum... the FC leading coil has 2 wires, one is 12v power, and the other is the signal. i think the fc igniton would do really well on a piston car, its beefy. |
Do you know if the ignitors are a leading or falling edge trigger?
