Is the stock FC ignition system wasted spark?

Second they have a built in ignitor right? So all you need to do to get them to fire is to input a "high" voltage signal into them and they will fire, so technically I could run FC coils on any other car that uses a "1" or "high" voltage input to activate them?

Third, I know how much they can support on an FC, but couldnt they support more on a piston engine?

thanks,.

the leadings are wasted spark. the trailings are not.

they both have the ignitor(s) built into the coil packs, its in the aluminum...

the FC leading coil has 2 wires, one is 12v power, and the other is the signal.

i think the fc igniton would do really well on a piston car, its beefy.

Do you know if the ignitors are a leading or falling edge trigger?
