After alot of headaches and troubles i am still having charging problems

I have had the altenator off the car and tested, passed with flying colors. (65 amps) Brand new Optima Red top battery.. (2 weeks old) New grouding wires, new starter wires, everything i could replace has been replaced. belts, tension. everything.... The battery is starting to show signs of low voltage... in the morning when i start it, it's slow.. I am SURE i turn everything off... the only thing that is staying on is my E-fan... but that's only for like 10 sec after i shut engine off... my mechanic said something is drawing current when car is off. but what could it be? I know the Radio stay's on to keep preset's... but it's not acctually 'on'.. IF you know what i mean.

thanks for the help...

I guess my last resort would be to wire up a kill switch for the batt. turn the car off. and cut the switch... this way no current can be drawn from the batt while car is off. any other suggestions?

you need a multi meter to see if you have a draw while the car is off. then you can pull fuses until it goes away, then you know what circuit its on

what circuits stay on when car is off? I know the Radio stay's on. (but just to keep presets)

The clock/idiot lights dont stay on... (only to keep clock running)

What else stay's on when car is off? Computer/cpu/Ecu?

Man this is getting real annoying... My Mechanic (Scott - Mazsport) said to check each fuse one by one to see which circuit is drawing current... bahh... Man what a pain in the ass this is getting

Any words of wisdom would be great

no he's right. you are looking for the circuit that is drawing current when its not supposed to. its not a very hard test at all. you have to pull fuses while looking at a voltmeter
