Just got an 87 rx n/a all stock. Any suggestions on what mods would be good to start with.

thanks

Any recommended exhaust system would be nice. Do they make a true dual?

Thanks

Heres RBs true dual system, not street legal.

Click on the road race system.

Your intake and exhaust are the first things you should do as they give you the most gain without any work.

If thats what youre looking for.

Heres the FAQ which im sure has most of your answers.

Anyone have any other recommended mods other then exhaust specific parts with advice and/or review.

Thanks

start with a good exhaust system, use 87 octane, and put a K&N cone type filter on.

Lightweight flywheel, clutch (might as well do it while your in there), remove power steering and AC. All I can think of, anything more isnt going to give you that much of a gain until you start going into a ported motor and such.

Do the simple stuff first. Plugs, high performance wires, cold air intake, exhaust like everyone else is saying and get the suspension dialed in. Springs shocks and swaybars will not only make the car look better, but also make it a lot more fun to drive even without any power upgrades.

There is also the throttle body mod.

You could do some suspension, may not make you faster in a straight line but maybe through the corners.

Full tune up. Coolant flush, belts, brakes, brake fluid, diff flush and refill, fuel filter. Check all wiring harness connections also. These cars are old and everything gets brittle after a while.

Congrats also and welcome to the forum! Oh yeah, don't buy ANYTHING pacesetter.
