can someone tell me what happens when the spark plugs foul up?
|
Hard starting is probably the most obvious symptom. If in doubt, pull the old ones and put in fresh ones. I've been able to find the NGK's at Advance Auto for around $5 each.

hard starting....
sluggish acceleration depending on how bad they are... rough idle...... burning sensation when you urinate.... shitty gas milage...... |

burning sensation when you urinate.... So all I need to do is change my plugs? That's great! I was getting worried that I might have to see a doctor or something. |

ok the reason why i was asking is because i was getting a little bit of black smoke out my exhaust it started after i went to get some gas. i think i got a bad batch of gas because the car was running perfect until i gas on friday night. now what it is doing is it will run it will idle but after the car get nice and warm and i start driving it will hesitate so bad that i would have to pull over or i have to rev the **** out of it for it to get moving. what do you think run out that bad gas then change the spark plugs? also what size do i use to take those spark plugs out? my tool is to small for it

A standard 13/16" spark plug socket will work. That's what I always use. I don't even know what metric size that is... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

good enough to know i will go to sears tomorrow and get a socket
|
I just did the math. It's a 21mm in metric, but of course it needs to be a deep socket.
