Ok i know some1 posted sumthing about this earlier, but here goes,
the trailing are on top and leading on bottom (this is according to my user manual) now my question is, i have the strange looking plugs (the NGK's with the crosshair type design) on top, and normal type plugs on bottom that isn't right is it? and is it ok to use normal plugs for both? my car runs but in low rpm's it's sluggish....just wondered if when they were changed (they were changed right be4 i got the car) that the mechanic could of got confused and put them in backwards, which i would have done also if i hadn't had seen that in the manual.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif |
the leading and trailing should both be the wierd cross ones

absolutly correct. Trailing -TOP Leading -Lower (bottem)
Ngk plugs are to be used... both with the Crosshair |
and if i have the normal type on my leading? could this cause a little
hesitation in acceleration? (i was a poet and didn't...realize it.) i assume the leading plugs ignite the gas, and the trailing burn off the excess and spent gas, so the better plugs are burning off excess gas instead of igniting it.....this could be a problem eh? |
yeah it might cause a hiccup

k, gotta go get my car and at least switch em around till i can get 2 new sets of em.....

BUR9EQ and BUR7EQ are the plugs to be using, you cant **** it up
because the plugs are marked as to which is the trailing and leading, 1 is towards the front of the car and 2 is the rear of the car. Put a little dab of anti-seize on the threads of the plug before installing. Install them as they come in the box, there is no gapping. |
