heyo~

just got my 7 back on the road, very happy...

i want to replace my spark plug wiring myself. but before i go and feck things up, i'd thought i'd ask for some help.

to preface: i've never done this before, on any car (7 is my first and only car).

did some ebay/google searches for brands, came up with Moroso 8mm Spark Plug wires. anyone have a particular brand they go with?

also, when attempting to install the new wires, is there anything i should be aware of? i'm planning on just following the on-box instructions...

explicit directions and tips welcomed. thanks in advance.

oh, also, i have a set of NGK plugs that are 2yrs old. they've just been sitting around, think they'd still be good to go?

You'd be hard pressed to find a better set of wires than the stock Mazda ones. You can buy cheaper wires, but they probably won't last as long.

When you go to change the wires, pull one wire off, then find one the same length in the new set, and install it the same way the old one was. It's really hard to mess up if you do it this way.

If the plugs are new, sitting on a shelf for two years isn't going to hurt them.
