uh, Since it has been gettin water inside you might as well try top address any possible rust that may become a problem in the future.. I wish I had done that to my repu like 10 years ago, now I regret it, but back then I knew very little about this..
not too long ago I replaced my carpet, and didn't notice any rust where the water had been collecting

ok cool then.. Just a heads up cuz now I have holes in my floorboards..

amazingly the verts floorboards dont rust from the water either.

I bought those moldings last year, best $80 I ever spent!
