Ok, we had a night of great racing. I pushed my car pretty hard, i was practicing my launch ALOT also. When i start driving home, i hear a clicking sound whenever i start to get into boost. It was late and i was far from home so i stayed out of boost and just got home. Well today i had a chance to look at it. Seems as if somehow i managed to move ALL the nuts off my turbo manifold! The thing was barely hanging on, and when you grabbed it you could move it a good half inch from the block! Talk about an exhaust leak! lol...

So yeah, that was interesting.

Lovely.. glad nothing broke..

thats why most turbos have lock plates on the nuts for the manifold and the turbo flange, once they heat up, they expand enought to move the nuts on the threads, and they start backing out from there.

be lucky I have seen turbos fall off...

That sux.It could have been a lot worse and costly tho.

My car does that all the time.. pisses me off greatly!

I believe the FD nutz are locking which can be used instead of the stock ones. No threadlocker is going to work due to the temperature (atleast that's what i've been told). I've tried lock washers and a nut and haven't had any luck so far. I was thinking about using two nuts and locking them together to see if that works.
