Today I went to start the car up like usual. I proceeded to let the car warm up to a 1/4 on the gauge. I made a local stop at the post office. The gauge was at 1/2. I look outside and my car is smoking like a mofo. After 15 minutes it eventually went away. But still smoked a little. Its a T2 with 163k on the clock with a 30k jspec turbo. I haven't checked the compression so, I have no idea if it is a bad seal or what.
Any help to fix this? |
hmm, does it use any oil?

The car was sitting unstarted for a week or so in -20 deg weather. Decided to drive it today and it smoked out the whole parking lot. Spoke to my dad, and said id its possible that the cold weather and sitting didn't help. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif Just would like to know if im on a road to a rebuild in the near future so I can prepare for the inevitible. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif :bigthumg: |
If it's blue smoke sounds like a rebuild is going to be needed very soon.Time to port it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png 163K on that engine is still not too bad mileage tho.Sometimes T2's don't last that long.
