Hey , I'm having trouble getting my fresh rebuild to run. One day it runs, next day it doesn't. I suspect a vac leak even though I thought I had plugged all the possible ones. When I put a vac tester on the nipple on the UIM, I get 0" when I pump it. Shouldn't this be air tight?

can you shoot us a picture of which vacuum port you are using?

My camera is down, but it is the one on the UIM that faces towards the passenger side fender. I have a line teed in to it for my Boost sensor, after market boost gauge and for the stock BOV.

if its a turbo it wont hold vacuum, with the stock emissions equipment. there is a hose from the air pump (its actually on the acv) that feeds the vacuum system, and unless you cap off several other vacuum lines the whole intake setup doesnt hold a vacuum.

an alternative would be something like a smoke test.
