Get new bushings, and a new throwout bearing. Have you replaced the cluch yet? You might want to when doing the throwout bearing.

Throw-out wouldn't matter under acceleration.. it is only in play when the clutch pedal is depressed.... if the clutch is adjusted properly that is https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
You don't have a short shifter do you? If so there is a write up about it at mazdtrix website. I would replace the bushings and go from there. |

Was it a grinding type? You sure it wasn't a pilot bearing? you usually replace both when you do the clutch. Neutral, foot off the clutch would have to be pilot bearing.. Best test would have been to put the clutch in, if it stopped, then it was the pilot bearing.

Maybe it was the pilot bearing, I know both were replaced.

only prob with the pilot bearing is the 100 dollar tool needed to remove it :( <_< any of you guys know how to get it out without buying that damn tool? my synchros are going out in my tranny too. it kinda catches in 3rd and doenst wanna go into second until the car is warmed up. i need new clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, shifter bushings, rebuilt tranny, driveshaft, tarnny mount bushing(possibly new mounts) im regretting buying my rx-7. its almost 13 years old and only has 70,000 miels on it and im having all kinds of problems with her.its for sale if anyone wants her so i can buy a 91 gxl.later
