I'm working on a bunch of long over due projects today, one of which is replacing the shifter bushings in the T2. When I pulled the shift lever out, I was surpised to find that there where no bushings in there at all. No wonder it was sloppy.

I had purchased what I believed to be all the peices nessescary, but now I'm not sure. I have the follwing bushing set...

I didn't know this set existed until I found the Mazdatrix FAQ....

Do I really need the bottom set also, the white bushing? Or will the top or blue one do for now?

I looked down in the hole for the old bushing or even remnants of it. Vanished! Where da hell did it go?

The pieces of the bushing have fallen down in the trans. I would replace both upper and lower bushings at the same time to avoid any uneven wear on the new pieces.

You will need both, as the top sits on the lower. Mine broke off an fell into the shifter linkage, not allowing me to shift...

I believe you need all the bushings in the Mazdatrix set https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/dry.png

I made the mistake of only putting on the top 3, and my shifter was worse than before I changed them. Too bad the old bushings fell out in a million (okay, maybe only a hundred thousand) pieces.
