I cannot for the life of me get this pin out. It's the one that holds the shifter box to the gear selector shaft. I'm a total n00b (see description under avatar) and I won't want to damage any parts while I'm doing this.



Is there some sort of trick to removing this? Some people were saying to be careful where the box is while removing the pin, but I don't see how it could move very much anyways...as long as I don't lose the pin!

i use a small phillips screw driver and a larger hammer. the screw driver centers in the roll pin.

Wow, I finally got that little SOB out. I was so afraid I was going to break something, but everything seems to be okay.



Now the 12a rod needs to be shortened 3mm?
