Hey all!

I've got myself an '86 GXL that I've owned for roughly 6 months. Although I haven't had the engine compression tested, judging by the amount of oil it consumes, the smoke it blows on startup and the apparent lack of power, I'd say she's in dire need of a rebuild. I'd love to go for a TII, but there'd be no real way I could afford to insure it (I live in Australia and am 18 yo). Instead, I'm thinking of doing the following:

- Engine reco, with bridge port.

- Series 5 rotors

- TII injectors

- Free-flowing exhaust of some kind

- Pod air filter and cold air conversion

Any thoughts? Can 6-port motors be bridge ported?? Can series 5 rotors be placed in series 4 engines? Any better ideas?

Thanks heaps,

Tim

yes and no. your best bet is going to be to use a T2 housings and bridge port them. the rotors you can series V but you need everything else that goes with them counterweights, eshaft, etc. you might want to also think about running a new intake manifold and maybe a carb. bridgeport with carbs can run very good. if you want to use fuel injection you are gonna need to run either a haltech (best most expensive option) or atleast an apexi s-afc to richen up the mixtures. it all depensd how much $$ you wanna spend. but you car will be very fast and very reliable https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
