Does anyone know if this is covered forever by Mazda? I heard that this may be the case, my '88 vert left side does not go back up.
|
mine don't work either, i wanna get rid of them along with some race seats and some harnesses, but i just found out u have to have the stock seat belt to be legal. stupid laws.
|
Live with it
|
nah dude it was a recall.
mine did the same thing and i brought it back and the fixed it the next day free of charge. not a bad deal |
He isnt talking about the power seat belts, he is talking about the 88 non-power ones.
|
Yes actually they are cover for the life of the car because of a recall. Check with Mazda about it. I have a copy of the paperwork but I don't have a scanner to post it. If you want you can pm me with your address and I can send you a copy.

The power retracting seal belts yes, not the regular ones (S4)
|
we used to waranty all the seatbelts even though the recall is only for 89-91 coupes.
go to the dealer and jump up and down and they might do something, if not the seatbelts are actually cheap mike |
So they will put new seat belts in a 1988?
im sure you of all people know they are just standard seat belts, not like the power ones. |
we warantied seat belts on a 78glc, but i'm not sure we were supposed to. if they call the mazda rep they will probably do it, its only like $100....
