ok guys i am new to the fc world and i am getting my first fc tomorrow. (God willing) and i wanted to find out some information. first things first the fc has a turbo back exhaust on it and an air intake. the guy told me that it boost very quick and it hit the fuel cut off point because he never got a fcd. so i was thinking about getting one of those but then i found out about rtec7. and i found some for sale too. so i was wondering which is better to tune. the safc or the rtec7? or should i get both? i was planning on getting some bigger injectors for the motor something like 720cc. and i wanted to get it tuned so i wanted to see which way is the better way to go with the method of tuning? also is 150 a good price for a rtec7 1.5 ecu?

The rtec you dont tune. It is a preset chip. The 1.5 does not adjust the timing like the 1.7 does, but you get alot of little things that help out the car.
http://www.digitaltuning.com/index.php?pid=rtek7feat You can buy the 1.5 for $95 and do it yourself, or send the ECU to digital tuning and have them put the 1.7 in it for $125. I have heard some good things about it, so I would just get the 1.7 installed, put your 720 secondaries in and drive. If you are worried about the tuning aspect of it, also get a SAFC to fine tune it. |

The 1.5 does not adjust the timing like the 1.7 does, Nope the 1.5 also retards timing, 1 degree per psi OVER 9 psi. If you used the SAFC AND the 1.5 your car would be really something, the Rtek, is the only non standalone, ecu I will use. |

Whoa, I completly miss read that. So the differences is that the v. 1.7 controlls at minimum, 720 secondaries, and has the unflood code. Not bad for a $10 difference. If you went with both, that will give you a pretty good edge without going standalone |
