I am having trouble getting an N374 ECU to work on a 91 vert with a jspec TII motor in it. The car runs fine with the vert ECU installed, but the rear rotor does not receive fuel when I use 3 of the 4 jspec ECUs that I have tried. The car had no spark with one of the N374 ECUs.

Any ideas?

So let me get this straight.. with the N/A ECU in the car, the motor runs fine? And when you put in the Jspec ECU's the rear rotor doesn't get fuel? If that's the case.. just run the N/A ECU. It doesn't hurt the car. In fact it's better. The turbo ECU's have a different fuel map than the N/A's. The N/A ECU actually has a more agressive map making your car run a lot stronger, due to leaning it out a bit. But from my knowledge it's not enough to hurt it. I ran my car like that for a year and I sold it like that. And it still runs to this day. I also had a front mount, exhaust and a 3rd gen fuel pump (added right before I sold the car). So if it runs on the N/A ECU I say screw it and keep it that way.

Thanks for the reply. I really don't want to run the N/A ECU though. The NA unit is really not meant to run a turbo charged car. I guess a J-Spec ECU isn't perfect either since this car now has an RB exhaust on it, but it should still be better than the NA unit.

As soon as I have time, and who knows when that might be, I am going to look into whether or not the vert ECU and emissions harness (often referred to as the engine harness) are different with respect to the rear rotor injector wiring.

I know. I was only throwing out there that I ran my car for a year, ******* the **** out of it, with the N/A ECU in the car the entire time. It never gave me any problems or any sign of detonation, like I was saying the car actually runs stronger. And also.. the Jspec ECU's have a different pin layout.. so that's why they don't usually work. I was actually running an ECU out of a 91 vert in my old 90 GXL with a TII swap. *Shrug* But it's up to you what you really want to do. And just to be safe. You could always throw a 255 or a FD fuel pump in the tank like I did and run the N/A ECU. Just an idea. Good luck to you though.

thats the most retarded thing ive ever heard.

dont listen to this guy unless you like blowing motors.

what wiring harness are you using for this setup?

I've never blown a motor, thank you. And like I said I ran the **** out of the car for an entire year with that ECU in it. The car runs perfectly fine. I've never had detonation, and I've never run lean. Actually the car ran rich as **** and continuously shot flames out of the exhaust.
