Also the other thing i remembered is that the auto tranny and manuel trany are different lenghts. So the driveshafts are different lenghts between auto and manuel.

Yup i did an auto to manual swap and auto tranny sits about 6 inches further back. So when i put in my manual i had to get 2 bars welded to the old auto mounts. ALso i have a s5 tranny with a s4 driveshaft, works great. Jason NYC |
the biggest differences i know of are that s5 engines have more power. also, s4 redline is 8000, while s5 redline is 9000. other that that, theres not much mechanical difference

yeah i did forget about the automatics are different.
the redline on a s4 is actually 7000 rpm, and only on the s5 NA is the redline 8000, you can rev past it and fuel cut is about 1000 rpm higher then that... but your still over reving... |
yeah, but i just like pushing the limits on cars as much as possible. so far no explosions, and ive run my s5 at 9000 rpms a few times, and my friends s4 at 8000 rpms a lot more than i probably should have, but his still runs great. i kinda destroyed my engine.
