it might be ignition (wires, plugs) but i'd go for the fcd first. my t2 would hit 11psi with an intake and a cat back....

Yeah I know all about FCDs I have two knightsport units and im going to slap one on his car, just have to find it. Developed a vacume leak yesterday while we were driving it, well thats a new problem lol Idol will go up and down and when you start it it revs up high like past 3000rpm time for new vacume lines I guess https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

Was the problem resolved with the FCD?
My car just started doing the exact same thing you describe and i have a good working FCD. I changed my plugs and im gonna change my leading coils, i hope it goes away. |

There is a "pill" in the line from the Manifold to the boost pressure sensor. If this is removed your ECU gets all confused. Common mistake is to replace the vacume lines and toss the pill with the old line. Not knowing its in the line.

Just an update: I changed my leading coil and igniter and the hesitation at 5k rpm in 3rd gear went away.
