The S5 seems to have higher skid pad G's than the S4:
http://www.getrotord.com/html/rotary_specs.php Does anyone know what the differences are between the two series in terms of suspension? I also want to upgrade to the racing beat package down the line with some KYB's what kind of G's can I guesstimate getting? |
the base s5's have different springs, and shocks. other than that they are pretty much the same.

From memory the swaybar links are different. The s4 ones use a rubber bush and the s5 use plastic.
But parts are interchangeable between the two. |
Thanks guys, so no major differences that can't be adjusted with aftermarket (or even oem from the S5). I was afraid there was some difference in geometry or something.

mazdatrix has nice sets of link available which are supposed to be much more durable than either stock s4 or s5 oe components

If you don't want to spend $133 on sway bar end links, you could always use the S4 end links with new polyurethane bushings (less cost).
I used the bushings from Energy Suspension, they're super easy to replace, no press needed. Immediate noticeable improvement. |
