I'm shaving mine when I do the body work...bondo is the most common method, but those of you who do body work know that bondo can sometimes bring about a lessthenperfect appearance when all is said and done..i'm looking into fiber glass fillings....

actually any show car you see is body filler from end to the other, its
the only way to get the car perfectly straight. I wouldnt go filling deep areas like where the body side moldings were with bondo. Basically carefull welding or better yet a person who knows how to work with lead filler then some grinding and body filler would be the preferred method. Fiberglass will end up shifting and cracking over time, wouldnt be a big hassle as long as you planned on redoing the car when it does occur. |

If you do get someone to weld it.. make sure they tack it real slow so it will not warp the metal.. and even then it is gonna be hard cuz the metal on these cars is so thin..

Yeah...I would also like to see a picture of an S4 with just with the moldings removed all around. I am debating on removing mine when I get my car painted next month. I'm putting on URAS front and S5 TII sideskirts, was wanting to remove the moldings, but not fill them in.

That's pretty smooth. Not as smooth as the yellow car pictured above. But it does look ok.
I'm still confused about the small holes where the body molds hold themselves in. BUt still looks good. Late |
on a S4 there is only holes in the car for the side marker moldings.

You should just have the sheetmetal-ed over, and smoothed out I guess.(the marker lights). then the indention line would be smooth all th way around..minus the bumpers..
