call me an idiot for not knowing this, but where are they?... manifold, throttlebody?

And are they in any way similar to primarys or no?

It's late and I have had some wine (disclaimer) but depending on what year and type of 2nd Gen you have (you did post here) There are 4 injectors 2 are what you run on most the time, the others are what you get when you open it up more. They are under the manifold runners on mine in the housings, (I believe) The NA cars have 550cc in both primary and secondary. (identical) I, just this week, acquired 720cc injectors off a turbo motor (Thanks Jeff Clark) and after getting them cleaned and flowed by DR injector, (Monster flow rates) will be replacing them into my Secondary system and recalibrating my RTEK Chip to feed them correctly. Hoping for 10-25 more HP as my motor is built to rev to 9K! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif

Will look at my SVC Manual if noone else reminds us which one is the #2s. Plan to swap mine this weekend so I'll have the manual out, anyway. Don't do this stuff of the top of my head.

Flow matching is a good thing.

On an n/a, there are the 2 primaries (under the manifold), and 2 secondaries (on top of the manifold). I thought the n/a's were 440cc, all 4 identical.

fc3sboy1 03-27-2008 09:20 AM

the t2s are 550cc and depending on year of the na motors they are 360cc to 460cc or someshit. i know the gslse where higher flowing then the s4\

randy

sen2two 03-27-2008 11:03 AM

all TII injectors. primary and secondary are 550cc.

na's are 460cc.

and gsl-se's are 680cc.

the only one im not sure of are the na 2ng gens. they might be 430, i get confused. but they never came 720 in any rx7 stock. 850cc were stock in a 3rd gen secondary. and primary 500cc.

oh...i think secondary injectors turn on at around 3800rpm too.

fc3sboy1 03-27-2008 12:29 PM

ok thats right , for some reason i thought the nas where less cc then that but i am mistaken. least i got the t2 part right

defprun 03-27-2008 12:47 PM

Is it a good idea to use the GSL-SE's injectors as an upgrade on a TII if you've beefed up the ignition on a stock motor/turbo?

yep, its 11% more fuel, so it'll support a nice power increase

s4 only though due to the impedenance of the injectors. unless a resistor is used.

So S5 no good?

Thanks for the referance.

I did put in the wine and late night disclaimer! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blush.gif

Actually I was also refferring to the Rtek Pocket logger

referances. I do Have larger injectors for the secondary and there is a setup to accomodate them so for some reason there are different values listed. Not my area of expertise. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.gif

Finally going to get around to installing them this week and then will be going to Kevin at Jet City Dyno for some tuning and upper RPM details. Will let you all know how the before and after numbers turn out. I have high hopes for some extra useable power.

Using the article that RedT2 posted, if you use the low impedence GSL-SE's secondaries on a S5 N/A you can do it...(physically speaking) but are 680cc LI better than 460cc HI? Or did J9 already awnser my question? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.gif

Dang first report here got dumped! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif So you get the short version, lucky you!

Yes those injectors can throw some fuel. Making good power, even with today's conservative tuning. It's hard to finish first if you don't first finish so my computer mapping is very gentle steps. Went from 134.7 to 138.2 HP at the wheels. You turbo freaks have no idea how hard 4-5 horses are to come by. That's ok when you're on your 3rd engine build I'll still be running! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

I have to give some props to some very helpful folks.

Thanks Jeff Clark for the deal on the injectors! Someday hope to show you my tailpipes! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.gif

Mike at Datalogger (RTEK) has been very patient with a techno neandrathal, and the fact there aren't many N351 (GTUs) computers out there we found a quirk or 2. His support of his product is awesome and forthright! Thank you. Very Helpful as I got the 1st one after Beta testing a year ago. Didn't push it until today. I had my old Palm pilot and the computer I had back the info up on crash in the last month. He sent new files right away! I can modify my ECU from my Centro phone running Palm, now! Hoe cool is that? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.gif

Kevin at Jet City Tuning is great to work with and you folks going to the Apple Blossom Festival are in for a treat and ought to show him some support. Loves what he does and again a fella that says it like it is. Looking forward to our next session after I get some other research done. Results oriented and he knows we can get more out of mine but respects my slow approach.

I also have to give props to Dan Atkins for my wonderful ITS Stock Motor. Made Kevin's feet tingle from the vibes off the concrete floor when we were over 8oooRPM. SOunds wicked and solid still! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

Soo... Have some things to tweak and then look for another 5-7 hp. For those that don't know this is also a street legal ( https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif ) car that races. Yes I know there is 50+ HP more if I port it etc... It is built for a specific race class. I took first running in the faster class last year, with my stock mods!

I've heard many-a-good thing about RTEK...me want :(
